We Met In A Bar

…which wouldn’t seem all that unusual, right?

Except that we’re not typically the bar kind of folk. We tend to frequent coffee shops and book stores more often than naught, and it was such a crazy random happenstance that we both ended up at Humpy’s on a cold January night in 2011. There was a ska band playing (Nervis Rex) that caught the town’s attention and with practically one tiny table left to huddle around, we all got to know each other fairly well in the span of a few hours.

We shared a sundae. There’s a quote from that evening that we still bring into conversation occasionally: “If C.S. Lewis were edible, this is what he’d taste like.” We danced.

The rest is history. After seven months of a long distance relationship across 3,500 miles, we will finally be together again in Anchorage, Alaska.

Reunited and it feels so goooooood — no?

Well, now you know us. Kind of — and if you keep reading, you’ll know us better. Incentive? I think YES.
